Kelsey Kerr, LPC-Associate under the Supervision of Jeremy Pierce (LPC-S)
Executive Director and Co-Founder
Hello there!
My name is Kelsey Kerr. Some call me “The Outdoor Counselor.” Once upon a time, a horse changed my life. Through my own healing journey with a mustang and many outdoor adventures, I recognize the healing power of nature and animals. It has become my mission to empower and enrich the mental well-being of youth and adults by assisting them in developing a foundation of resilience and life navigation skills to face various life challenges. Growing up in a rural community, I have seen the need first hand for not only mental health care but education regarding mental health and whole body wellness. After meeting and working along side Mary Amelia Moss, we discovered that we shared the same vision and passion. We formed Equine Paradigm together to bring non-traditional means of healing, personal, and professional growth options to DFW and surrounding rural communities.
I invite you to join me in cultivating resilience for a better tomorrow.

Howdy!
My name is Mary Amelia, a counselor with a passion for helping people find their balance - whether it’s overcoming stress, tackling fears, or navigating PTSD. Alongside Kelsey and a team of wise and gentle equines who bring their own unique brand of magic to the mix! I love showing kids, teens, and adults how the outdoors and animals can teach us resilience, healing and a little fun along the way. I believe animals have the ability to sense human emotions and that emotion can reach deep inside and touch people in their soul. If you can connect, you can start a new journey whether it is healing, love, comfort, decreased stress and or anxiety.
Lets turn life’s hurdles into stepping stones- one stride at a time!

When I am not working, you can find me enjoying sports, hanging with my favorite donkey, or embracing the great outdoors! I love teaching my twin boys the importance of unplugging, seeing the world, and making connections with new people.
